Air Handling Units made in China

15 years ago, M+W began building its own production facilities in the People's Republic of China with a great deal of vision and courage. It was well worth its while.

In 2001, M+W Products developed the plan to manufacture filter fan units for the Asian market directly on site. The aim was to shorten the delivery routes in order to save logistics costs and enable faster delivery times, as increasingly demanded by the customers.

In their search for a location, they first found what they were looking for in Pudong, in the Shanghai district. Production was set up, workers and engineers were hired, registration was finalized at the end of 2002 and FFU production could finally start in April 2003. The beginnings were quite modest with two garage-like workshops and a converted farmhouse serving as an office. In 2007, the company moved into new buildings in Shanghai Songjiang.

Successful right from the start

With support from Stuttgart and great commitment from the new employees, ambitious major projects were soon successfully completed, for example with 4,300 FFUs for Nanya Technology Corporation and 22,000 for AUO Tango. This was followed by years of successful expansion and growth, the expansion of the product portfolio and the addition of air handling units and component services.
